Cute Capitalism

A follow-up to Limited Edition Fragrance, where aunties first harvested Jelly gas to make perfumes. That fragrance was “limited” because it caused the jellies some pain. Ironically, in this new episode, the aunties move from scarcity to scale, mass-producing fragrance and exploiting Jelly as a renewable source of scent. Recycling statistics soar, but the city is left reeking of Jelly gas and unintended consequences. A satire of overproduction and greenwashing, the work highlights how good intentions can spiral into absurd excess when efficiency, profit, and control take centre stage.
